If you're struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or any number of todays life challenges, then seeking counselling is your first step towards healing and growth. I'm here to help and support you on this journey towards self-discovery and personal wellbeing.
About me and my practice
I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor offering online therapy sessions. I am passionate about providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals looking to explore counselling therapies for various issues including anxiety, addiction, ADHD, and general day to day struggles. I do understand that seeking counselling can be a significant and sometimes difficult step, and I appreciate the courage taken to starting this important process, however out of your comfort zone it may feel.
I offer a confidential and non-judgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts and emotions. I recognise that our present experiences can be influenced by past events. I am here to help you explore such issues and encourage you to gain mindful insights that can positively influence your current situation and circumstances.
I am also deeply committed to providing empathetic and nonjudgmental support to individuals navigating the varied challenges that come with ADHD. Recognising the sometimes-debilitating struggles, and also the unique strengths associated with ADHD, I am dedicated to creating a safe and understanding space where clients feel safe enough to explore their experiences and goals.
My passion for supporting those with ADHD stems from my own personal connection to the subject, having received a late diagnosis after years of struggling with thoughts, feelings and behaviours that I had no control over. I genuinely understand the barriers and complexities associated with ADHD and am filled with a desire to provide compassionate and effective support to anyone struggling. I want to ensure that my clients feel validated and supported as they navigate through their own life experience of living with ADHD.
As a person-centred counsellor, I firmly believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and guide you in discovering your own solutions and empowering you to make meaningful changes throughout your counselling sessions.
Experience
My journey to becoming a counsellor started many years ago when I personally experienced positive changes in myself that occurred through talking openly with a person who listened to me without judgement. It was then I decided I would embark on the training required to become a counsellor in my own right so I could ensure that others would experience the gift and benefits of being seen and heard for who they truly are.
I have worked with a diverse range of clients covering numerous issues and difficulties. I also have a particular interest in both substance and alcohol addiction, recovery and the impact on loved ones. My aim is to be a supportive ally on each individual's unique journey, helping them navigate the complexities of addiction with empathy and encouragement, building a strong foundation for lasting positive change. I have a deep understanding around the impact of addiction on family and loved ones and have lived experience from both sides so aspire to empower others to embark on a path to healing and recovery.
